She will not go quietly

She smiles
Her eyes glisten
Emptiness
Unable to keep up

The dragon shone a light on her nightmare
What now?

Everyday is new
Its her life
But are they someone else’s memories?

Alone
Without recall
Is she irretrievably broken?

Tired of the secrets
Exhausted from embarrassment
No more keeping up appearances
She breaks free
From her personal prison

Walk by Faith, not by sight.
The darkness will not win
The devil will not break her
She will not go quietly

Her words will save her
Doors closed
A window opens
Its life on her terms now

Enjoy the present
Respect the past
Unlock the door
To her future
Finally
